(Malta Tieghla lkoll)

We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.
-Winston Churchill-

A Project related to contrasts within the ever shifting Maltese urban landscape. It portrays a reality that is so contrasting that it is ironic and borderline humorous.  A Skyline is a particularly defining characteristic of a country and the Maltese one has a lot to say. Populated by towering construction cranes and Maltese flags, co-existing within the same space as cultural buildings like churches. This is a part of our identity not only as a Maltese people but as human beings as well.
The slogan ‘Malta Teighla lkoll' plays on the slogan used during the general election of  2013- Malta Taghnha lkoll'. It does not aim to be politically motivated but rather addresses a small irony within the situation.
